Marae Booking Terms & Conditions

You must agree to these Terms & Conditions in order to submit your booking.

1.  You will have access to:  The Whare Moe (Accommodation, Mattresses, Pillows, Sheets, Pillowcases), Showers x 10, Toilets, Informal & Formal Dining Room, Kitchen (2 x 10 Tray Combi Ovens, Commercial 6 Gas Hob Cooker & Oven, 3 x Large Gas Hobs, 4 Chillers, 3 x Food Preparation Areas, Crockery, Cutlery, Cups, Access to Store Room (Pots, Chopping Boards, Bowls, Serving Dishes, Combi Dishes, Cooking Utensils, Urns, Jugs, Glasses, Oven Trays, Bain Maries).  

2.  All Tangihanga (Funerals) at the Marae takes first preference over any booking.  Your key contact person will be notified and all payments made will be reimbursed immediately.

3.  The Whare Moe can sleep up to 40 persons only.

4.  All fees must be paid into the Marae Bank Account at least 14 days prior to your booking date.  The booking fee must be paid on receipt of an invoice for your booking.  This will secure your booking date.  

5.  The bond is for damages / breakages during your stay.  The bond will be refunded within 7 days if all conditions are met.  

6.  You are required to leave the Marae in a tidy state.  The Cleaning Fee will cover the cleaning of the toilet blocks used, accommodation & shower areas, all kitchen & dining room floors.

7.  Please note:  when hiring the kitchen, ensure your caterers/cooks provide their own dishwashing products, rubbish bags and cleaning products.

8.  Please report any damages or breakages to the Marae Bookings Person.

9.  Read and complete the Waahi Marae Health & Safety Plan.

10. The key contact person must provide a register of attendance for COVID-19 purposes.  There are QR codes & Hand Sanitiser at key areas around the Marae.  

11.  An induction of the areas you are hiring will be conducted prior or on your arrival.  An inspection will be completed prior to or immediately after your departure.  You will be informed of the inspection outcome with regard to the return of the Bond. The bond will be refunded by direct credit if all conditions are met.  If any conditions are not met the bond will be used to replace or repair damaged or lost items.  The remainder will be credited to your account.

12.  Booking costs are GST exclusive

** $100 booking fee to secure your booking dates.
** $300 bond (mandatory & refundable).
**  Kitchen & Dining Areas ($300 per day)
**  Whare Moe (Accommodation) & Shower Block ($200 per day)
** $300 cleaning fee for kitchen & dining area.
** $200 cleaning fee for accommodation & showers area.
