He Whakataki
Our journey has been shaped by the strong bonds we share with kaupapa-driven groups who hold our stories close. Taniwharau Kapa Haka, Halau Hula O Na Keiki O Ka ʻaina, Te Wharekura o Rakaumanga, Ngaa Pou o Roto, and more recently Te Whare Haka o Te Pooporo, have each played a vital role in nurturing our identity. These kapa have gifted us waiata – taonga rich with history, aroha, and maatauranga – so we can pass them on to our mokopuna, ensuring our stories live on through voice, movement, and memory.
