Governance Structure

Current Structure

Elected trustees are responsible for caring for the whenua, maintaining our marae facilities, and overseeing the implementation of our strategic plan. Our Marae Committee brings the aspirations of the Paa to life through coordination.

In 2020, we launched our strategic plan Tookihi Whakamua, which includes around 100 objectives. These objectives are driven forward by eight specialist groups known as Rau. Each Rau selects and progresses goals aligned with their area of expertise. Our current Rau include: Taiao, Maatauranga, Ahumahi, Hononga, Hauora, Rangatahi, Hanga Whare, and Kaumaatua.

A representative from each of the Rau attends the administration group Tuhimanu who help oversee specific objectives and responsibilities.

In 2025 the Paa has established an entity.
